To create a Facebook Ad Account, follow these steps:

  1. Add a Second Admin: Before you start, it's a good idea to add a second admin to your business account for backup purposes. You can grant access to other employees or partners from the Users tab under People in your settings page​​.

  2. Link Your Business's Facebook Page: Link your business's Facebook Page to your business manager account by selecting ‘Pages’ under the accounts tab and clicking ‘add a page’. You must be an admin of your business's Facebook page to link it​​.

  3. Add a Payment Method: Go to the ‘Payment Methods’ tab on the left-hand navigation bar, select ‘Add Payment Method’, and fill out your credit/debit card information. This can be set up later if you're not ready to run ads yet​​.

  4. Create an Ad Account: Navigate to the ‘Ad Accounts’ tab, click the blue ‘Add’ button, and then ‘Create a New Ad Account’. Name your ad account, select your business page, set your time zone, currency, and the payment method. Then click ‘Create Ad Account’ and assign access levels to the users you want to add to this ad account​​.

By following these steps, you will have set up your Facebook Ad Account and can start creating and running ads for your business on Facebook.

Creating Facebook Messenger ads involves a series of steps that require you to define the objective of your ad, create a campaign, and set the ad type. Below is a step-by-step guide, compiled from various sources, to help you create your own Facebook Messenger ad:

  1. Access Your Facebook Ad Account: Log into your Facebook ad account and start with the guided creation option​​.

  2. Choose the Campaign Objective: Open Facebook Ads Manager and select your campaign objective. For Messenger ads, you typically need to choose between "Traffic" or "Conversions" objectives for Messenger home screen ads​​. Alternatively, for other types of Messenger ads, the objective can be "Messages"​​​​. ALWAYS CHOOSE "CREDIT" AS A SPECIAL AD CATEGORY 

  3. Name Your Campaign: Give your campaign a name, and at this stage, you can skip additional options like split testing or campaign budget optimization​​.

  4. Select the Ad Type: Ensure you choose the correct ad type. For Messenger ads, the ad type should specify "Messenger"​​. If you're aiming to start a Messenger chat, select "Click to Messenger" under the ad group settings​​.

  5. Ad Group and Destination: Create an ad group or select an existing one. For the ad destination, choose Messenger, specifically "clicks to Messenger" if your goal is to initiate a chat through Messenger​​​​.

  6. Linking a Chatbot (Optional): If you wish to create a campaign with a linked chatbot, ensure you have a Facebook business page with administrator rights. In Ads Manager, select the "Engagement" campaign objective and "Click to message" as your ad type, with Facebook Messenger as your messaging app​​.

Remember, each type of Messenger ad may have slightly different steps or additional options, but the above is a foundational guide to get you started. It's also essential to customize your ad creative, set your target audience, budget, and schedule before you publish your ad. Once you have set up everything according to your goals, review all settings, and then you can launch your Messenger ad campaign.

To connect your Facebook Page to ManyChat, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Get Started Free" on ManyChat.

  2. Click the "Sign Up With Facebook" button and grant the necessary permissions to ManyChat.

  3. Log in with your personal Facebook account, verify your email address, and complete a short questionnaire.

  4. Click "Next," then choose "Facebook Messenger" as the channel you want to start with.

  5. You will see a list of Facebook Pages you can connect to. Ensure you have an Admin role on the Facebook Page you want to connect, and that the page has no age or country restrictions.

  6. After connecting your page, complete another questionnaire to help ManyChat tailor strategies for your goals​​.

If you need to add more pages, click on the page avatar in the top-left corner of ManyChat and repeat the process. If the page is already connected to ManyChat, you can join the existing account by clicking the "Join" button or request access if the page is connected to a different ManyChat account​​.

By completing these steps, your Facebook Page will be integrated with ManyChat, allowing you to create automated messaging flows and campaigns.

To connect a ManyChat flow to a Facebook ad, here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Create Your ManyChat Flow:

    • Begin by creating the content of your flow in ManyChat.

    • At the starting step of the flow, click on "Add trigger."

    • Search for “Facebook” and select the “Facebook Ads JSON trigger.”

    • Publish your flow and refresh the page to get the JSON code​​.

  2. Set Up Your Facebook Ad:

    • Go to Facebook Ads Manager and create a new campaign with "Traffic" as your Campaign Objective.

    • Set the Traffic to Messenger and proceed to the next steps.

    • Select the right Facebook Page for your ad.

    • Scroll down to “Message template,” check "Start Conversations," and click on "Edit" to set up a greeting and customer actions.

    • Create a quick reply, such as “Get Access,” and save it​​.

  3. Connect the Facebook Ad to ManyChat:

    • Return to ManyChat and create a new flow, starting from scratch.

    • The starting step of the flow should be a Facebook Keyword trigger—paste the quick reply you saved from your Facebook ad.

    • Connect this starting step to a Facebook Message with the contents of your flow.

    • Ensure that the message has the “Other” Content-Type for compliance with Facebook rules.

    • Publish your ad and your ManyChat flow​​.

Once these steps are completed, your Facebook Ad will be connected to your ManyChat flow, and you'll be able to automate interactions with users who click on your ad.
